Meet The Face Behind VIP Medical Centre

I am Ramesh Seegobin, the humble Medical Director/Owner of VIP Medical Centre.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I wanted to be a doctor ever since I was a child growing up in Guyana, South America. I would accompany my grandmother for her medical check-ups, as I was curious and she needed the help.

Witnessing the happy smiles on patients’ faces after they were seen by the doctor who treated them for their different ailments was one of the things that inspired me to study medicine. Not to mention my grandmother encouraged and supported the idea. In a country where regular check-ups were a luxury, people waited until medical attention becomes absolutely necessary before they see a doctor.

After graduating from medical school, I wanted to be of service to the community at large. So, rather than limiting myself to a hospital, I decided to set up an independent medical practice on Liberty Ave in New York in 1999.

Four years later, I moved back to Canada and took over an established clinic in Georgetown, Ontario, and soon followed it up by opening another one in Vaughan, Ontario. Through hard work and dedication, the practice has blossomed over the years.

During this time, the medical industry has evolved significantly and changed for the better. Thanks to technological advancements.

For instance, medical records get saved electronically, and patients can receive treatments via video conferencing, they can view their labs online. I can also send patients a secure message to plan of action without needing help from the administration. Prescriptions are being sent electronically within seconds from the office and even remotely. I received specialized training in Weight Management and Cosmetic Non Surgical procedures like Dermal Fillers and Botox injections.

We offer a wider range of services both Medical and Cosmetic, and they have been equally fulfilling.

We always put our patients’ welfare first. I believe what sets us apart from the others is taking the time to listen and our attention to detail. With Empathy, Respect and an Unbiased approach, we want to be of the greatest help to those that need it the most.

I also attribute my success to my dedicated staff members and supportive family, who have been by my side from the very beginning. I see my work as an opportunity to serve and I am so grateful for this. 

Looking back to how far I’ve come since I first started makes me feel so blessed. It’s immensely satisfying to have been able to touch so many patients’ lives and give them peace of mind.

When I’m not caring for patients, I love music, reading, keeping fit, cooking, exploring nature, dining with family, and traveling to new places. We support our favourite charities that support mental illness and poverty.
