Dr. Gurpersaud was born and raised in North York, Ontario. He completed his Specialized Honours at York University, and his Doctor of Medicine at Ross University School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his Internal Medicine residency at Trinity Health Oakland, which is affiliated with Wayne State University. Dr. Gurpersaud went on to complete his Geriatric Medicine fellowship at the University at Buffalo. During his residency and fellowship, he received several accommodations for his commitment to teaching and providing patient centered care.
Dr. Gurpersaud’s extensive training makes him well equipped to provide primary care to patients 18 years or older, along with providing general internal medicine consults for difficult to manage patients. His geriatric training allows him to provide unparalleled care to the growing elderly population. With a special interest in polypharmacy and other geriatric syndromes, he provides care that aligns with patient’s expectations and improves their quality of life. Dr. Gurpersaud is available to see patients at the Vaughan and Woodbridge locations. He is accepting new patients starting August 2023.
