Dr. Ramesh Seegobin

Ramesh Seegobin, BSc.(Hons.), MD., CCFP Expertise, knowledge, and a passion for his profession put Dr. Ramesh Seegobin among one of the best in his field. A respected board certified internist in New York since 1998, and Family Physician in Ontario for over 14 years he received specialized training in weight management and cosmetic procedures. Dr. Seegobin serves as the Medical Director for 3 clinics. He is the Lead physician for the Central Vaughan Family Health Organization.

Dr. Seegobin is a Faculty Member, Dept. of Family and Community Medicine, University of Toronto. He is responsible for supervising both medical students and resident doctors in his clinics. He voluntarily supervises IMGs-foreign grads and assist them with their training through observerships.

The York University Nurse practitioner program recognizes his practise as a teaching site for Nurse Practioner students; he serves as a Preceptor for NP students.

Dr. Seegobin graduated from the University of Toronto with distinction in Microbiology and Biochemistry in 1988. He did specialized graduate studies at Hahnemann University Graduate School. He made the Honor Roll, he was on the Dean's list and he received the Distinguished Scholar Award in Basic Sciences in 1992 at Ross University School Of Medicine. He graduated from Ross University in 1994.

He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at Seton Hall University in 1998. He became Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine the same year. He practiced in New York for several years with affiliation to the Jamaica Hospital and the Mary Immaculate Hospital before returning to Canada where he underwent training in Family Medicine at the University of Toronto, St Joseph Health Center. He entered private practice in Family Medicine in January 2006.
